Fall into fun with fall break programs

Fall break will be here before you know it for Henderson County students and the Library has been working hard to prepare some great programs! Registration begins Sunday, September 19, and goes through Saturday, October 2. You will be able to register online or in person at the Library during regular library hours (no phone registrations, please). Children in grades K-5 are invited to attend and registration is required for participation.

Here's the lineup of programs:

Autumn in the Kitchen with Susan Morgan - Tuesday, October 5, 1:30 pm
Participants will make and sample the following afterschool snacks: Fruit Pops, Study & Snack Mix, and Autumn Butter.

Janice Tenbarge Storytelling Program - Wednesday, October 6, 1:30 pm
Janice's down-home style will have you giggling, laughing out loud and waiting for what comes next. Her unique manner of telling tall tales and folktales such as The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything, Tops and Bottoms, and the Gum Chewing Rattler will captivate children and adults alike.

Favorite Kentucky Authors - Thursday, October 7, 1:30 pm
Participants will get to explore the works of Kentucky authors like George Ella Lyon, Tony Crunk, Tres Seymour and Heather Henson. While taking a closer look at the works of these authors we will talk about the seasons, farm life, colors, and quilting. The program will also feature crafts and a snack.
