Genealogy/Local History Archivist
The Genealogy/Local History Archivist is responsible for the acquisition, organization, maintenance and preservation of the library’s archival collections including all books, papers, maps, photographs, machine-readable materials, or other documentary materials, regardless of physical form or characteristics. The Genealogy/Local History Archivist provides reference service for the local history and genealogy collections and assists patrons in a friendly and timely manner in person, by telephone, mail, and electronic mail. Bachelor’s degree or combination of higher education and experience in a related field required, or any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education approved by the Library Director. Library experience preferred. Public service experience and working knowledge of computers required.
