"Let's do the time warp again!"

If the last time you Time Warped was at a midnight showing of Rocky Horror Picture Show , its time for you to boogie down to the library and check out May's feature display. This month we are featuring novels about all the many ways time can bend and shift to move a story along.

Time warp novels are not just found in the science fiction section. Readers of romance, historical fiction, modern fiction, and fantasy may find a book in their favorite genre in which time slips and twists with interesting results. There are several things that may happen that can make a story a time warp novel. A modern character could be sent back in time or a historical figure could be sent into the future (our present day). Sometimes characters in the present day are contacted in some way from the past to right a wrong done to someone hundreds of years before. In a few cases, history itself is all wrong, causing the present day to be drastically different from the way we know it should be.

So whether you would love a story where two people transcend hundreds of years to find everlasting love, or you'd rather white knuckle the edges of your book while the hero sets the timeline back to its rights, you just may find time warping is for you.
