Employment opportunities at the Library

The Library is currently accepting applications for the following positions:

Community Relations Coordinator (full-time)
The Community Relations Coordinator is responsible for promoting and extending community awareness of library services and programs. The Community Relations Coordinator will identify, develop, implement, and evaluate all marketing and promotional strategies for the library district in cooperation with library management. Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field required, or any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education approved by the Library Director. Library experience preferred. Public Computer Instructor (full-time)
The Public Computer Instructor is responsible for providing introductory and intermediate computer instruction to the public as a group or one-on-one. A major focus will be on resume writing and job searching. While not engaged in these activities, the Public Computer Instructor will assist in other library departments as needed. This multi-function position requires a high level of flexibility and willingness to work at a wide variety of tasks. High school diploma required, bachelor’s degree preferred. Library experience strongly preferred. Public service experience required. Working knowledge of computers, Microsoft Office Suite, and the Internet required.
