Database reductions in the Research Center

The Library has for many years offered access to the Kentucky Virtual Library, a product of the Council on Postsecondary Education. This department has been severely impacted by budget reductions applied to agencies due to decreased state revenues.

Budget cuts have affected the Kentucky Virtual Library to the point that several databases have been dropped and will no longer be accessible. The first phase of cutbacks has taken place and the following databases are no longer available from the library's website or the Kentucky Virtual Library:

EBSCO Literary Reference Center
EBSCO Health Source Nursing
EBSCO Military & Government Collection
EBSCO Professional Development Collection
EBSCO Religion & Philosophy Collection

These are valuable and timely research tools for students and adult learners alike and we regret that we are no longer able to provide access. If you have been a user of any of these databases and would like suggestions of alternate sources, please call or email the Library and we would be happy to help you.

Please visit our online Research Center to view all of our online databases and services.
