Henderson County Tax Lists 1799-1892

The Library has recently acquired tax lists on microfilm for Henderson County for the years 1799-1892 (1876-1879 are not available). Tax lists can help genealogy researchers confirm that an ancestor lived in Henderson County during a certain year or period as well as give an indication of the wealth of an ancestor. Different years will yield different data, but tax lists in general will give values of property such as land, livestock, slaves, household goods and personal property.
