For Book Lovers ... Book Fest in Bowling Green

The annual Southern Kentucky Book Fest is nearly here. Over 175 authors gather during this 2 day celebration of literature and interact with you. This 2 day event is divided into a children's author day, April 7th, and an adult's author day, April 8th. The Book Fest will be held at the Sloan Convention Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky, and is free to the public.

Children's Activity Day Friday, April 7; 8 a.m - 2 p.m.
Balloon Launch at 8:30 a.m.
Many presentations to hear, books to buy, crafts to make, authors & illustrators to see.
Featured Children's Author:Jack Gantos (Friday only)

Bring the Whole Family Day! Saturday, April 8; 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Author presentations & panel discussions.

Party Time!


Mark your calendars for a special upcoming event at the Library! On Wednesday, April 26, 2006, at 12 noon, the Library will be unveiling the latest John James Audubon bird sculpture to be added to the downtown area. The Library Foundation has graciously funded this project, and the public is invited to attend the unveiling of the "Great Horned Owls."

April 26 is also the birthday of John James Audubon. In commemoration and celebration of his birthday, the Library Foundation will be hosting a birthday party at the Library for the entire family. After the unveiling, everyone is invited to enjoy refreshments, and children are invited to participate in crafts and storytelling. There will even be a very special guest visitor!

Please plan to attend and celebrate with us on this very special day.
